TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND TRAVEL INFORMATION
BOOKING PROCEDURES
All requests for quotes, provisional bookings, confirmed bookings, amendments and cancellations must be received in writing via e-mail. Email address: oldafricasafaris@ngami.net
River Safaris are booked subject to availability and held provisionally for 14 days.
The booking will be confirmed upon the receipt of a 50% non-refundable deposit unless otherwise agreed to by Old Africa Safaris.
This deposit must be paid at the time of the booking confirmation, on or before the provisional expiry date.
Should this not be received, we reserve the right to release the booking.
Upon fully confirmed reservation, Old Africa Safaris will require the following information:
PAYMENT TERMS
50% non-refundable deposit required to confirm a reservation, unless otherwise agreed to by Old Africa Safaris.
Balance due payable 45 days prior to arrival.
Payments for additional charges can be made in cash on the houseboat, USD and ZAR accepted.
No credit card facilities are available.
Proof of payment should be emailed through to oldafricasafaris@ngami.net to confirm reservation and to ensure correct allocation of payment.
Please note that you are responsible for the cost of any bank charges incurred in any of the payment processes.
All payments should be made through Electronic or Telegraphic Bank Transfer – TT.

CANCELLATION PENALTIES
Cancellations are only effective on receipt of written notification. A cancellation fee, the scale of which, expressed as a percentage of the tour prices, which will be levied as follows:
0-7 weeks prior =100%
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon confirmation.
Balance payment is required no less than 45 days prior to travel.
Should you leave prior to the safaris completion, no refund can be made and additional charges may be incurred for transportation.
CHANGES TO EXISTING BOOKINGS
Once booking has been confirmed, should you wish to make any changes to the dates you may do so subject to availability. Should the date you wish to change your booking to not be available, there will be no refund of payment received. The abovementioned normal cancellation fees apply if you wish to change your departure. Please ensure that your travel insurance covers the cost of the cancellation fees should these be incurred for whatever reason.
Although every effort is made to ensure that your travel plans ( especially charter flights ) run according to plan, Old Africa Safaris cannot be held liable for any changes in flights or air strips used as would be dictated by the charter company /CAAB.
If one of our guides is unable to take a safari due to illness etc. we reserve the right to substitute with another guide.
PASSPORTS & VISAS
The onus is on the traveller or their agent to ensure that their passports are valid for travel and that they are in possession of valid visas for the countries being visited and that all necessary health documents for these destinations are in order.
NB Under the new law, all minors under the age of 18 years will be required to produce, in addition to their passport, an Unabridged Birth Certificate (showing the particulars of both parents) when exiting and entering South African and Botswana ports of entry.
MEDICAL
Please consult your Physician for advice with regards to medication and other medical necessities that you may need throughout your safari. Basic First Aid Kit is available on the houseboat.
VACCINATIONS
Please ensure all inoculations are up to date and that the appropriate anti-malarial precautions are taken.
BAGGAGE
Charter Flights have a strict 20kg luggage weight limit in soft sided bags.
INSURANCE
It is a booking condition that the sole responsibility lies with the Guest to ensure that they carry the correct Comprehensive Travel and Medical Insurance to cover themselves and any dependants and or traveling companions for the duration of their trip to Southern Africa.
This insurance should include cover in respect of, but not limited to, the following eventualities:
Old Africa Safaris including their representatives, Staff and Agents will take no responsibility for any costs, losses incurred or suffered by the Guest, or Guest’s Dependants or travelling companions with regard to but not limited to any of the abovementioned eventualities.
Guests will be charged directly by the relevant service providers for any emergency services they may require.
All guests will be required to sign an indemnity form prior to departure on safari, if they have not already signed and returned it via email to oldafricasafaris@ngami.net prior to travel.
